When Inspector Sam found Penny, he thought she was dead. She was lying tethered on a back patio with no food or water nearby. However, when he got closer he saw her eyes move and he could see her heart beating through her skin.
As an animal lover, I know that you would be upset to hear about dogs who are mistreated and neglected. Animals are for life and they rely upon us for food, shelter and care.
When we got Penny back to the shelter, our vet team assessed her and found she was emaciated. We could see her visibly shaking with the effort of standing up, as she was so weak.
However, she was friendly and loving and touched all of our hearts with her playful nature. After a couple of months, Penny gained weight and had a new lease of life. She loves going for walks and playing with her toy lamb.
This Christmas you can be a Guardian Angel to an animal like Penny. Every donation goes toward rescuing, rehoming and caring for dogs, cats and other animals who need us.
Please, will you become a Guardian Angel to an animal in urgent need?
