Hello, my name is Maddie. I was not always the happy and healthy dog you see today. In fact, you would be shocked to see the way I looked before.
I was abandoned, emaciated and covered in matted fur. I remember walking the streets looking for a safe place to eat and sleep. It was very lonely.
One day I was rescued by the RSPCA. They took me back to the shelter where I was welcomed with open arms. They removed my heavily matted coat and gave me a safe place to eat and sleep. It took me a little time to recover and I was provided the best of care.
Recently I found my forever home and I have never been happier.
Without Guardian Angels like you, my fate would be very different. Will you be a Guardian Angel for animals just like me this Christmas?
Hi, I’m Charlotte, and this is my sister, Violet. To be honest, we’re lucky to be here today.
You see, we were born with a terrible case of roundworm…
We had to be hand reared and bottle-fed by the nice people at the RSPCA. Before long, we were
taken in by loving foster families. We spent our time playing with toys, wrestling each other
and cuddling on our foster parents’ laps. Who knows what life would have been like if the RSPCA
hadn’t cared for us…
Please, sponsor the care of puppies just like us this Christmas. Become a Guardian Angel now.
My name is Poppy, and I’m one of the friendliest cats you’ll ever meet. I have always been this way, even whilst I was in excruciating pain. My story begins in a very sad place; but it has a happy ending!
The lady who I lived with didn’t know that animals feel pain. So when my foot got trapped and the blood supply cut off, she didn’t think I needed treatment. I was trying to feed my four kittens despite the agony in my leg, but it was so hard and I was so hungry.
When the lady abandoned the house she took my babies away with her, leaving me behind while my foot was so sore I could barely move. I was scared for my kittens and couldn’t walk anymore to get help; I was so happy when the nice people came that I couldn’t stop purring.
The vets couldn’t save my dying foot, but the friendly people that are caring for me are helping me learn to walk on three legs while purring at the same time. They can’t get enough of my cuddles, and the best part: the RSPCA reunited me with my baby kittens!
Thanks to Guardian Angels like you, I’m now ready to find someone who will love me as much as I love them, but I know there are so many other animals out there still unloved and in pain this Christmas. Could you be a Guardian Angel to them?
Hello, my name is Izzy. I wasn’t always the gorgeous dog I am today.
When I was just a pup I was locked in a laundry and abandoned. I was frightened, thirsty and alone. Pretty soon I developed a terrible skin infection known as mange which left my skin raw and hurting all over. It hurt so much. My beautiful orange fur all but disappeared. But then one day, the RSPCA came and rescued me. I was so grateful.
At first, my rescuers thought I had already gone. I was curled up in a pile of blankets hiding from the world. When they realised I was still with them I was quickly transported to the animal hospital for treatment. The vets and staff took such good care of me that after many weeks of love and care my fur soon returned, and I started feeling much better. This is also when I met my forever mamma Emma. I am so happy now.
I will always carry the physical scars from my illness with me but I don’t mind them. They help me to remember that it is because of Guardian Angels like you I was given a new family and my very own bed to sleep in this Christmas.
Please, become a Guardian Angel and give the gift of hope to abused and neglected animals like me. They too deserve a second chance.
Hi, I’m Tikki. I’m nine years old and will be enjoying Christmas with my family this year. My very OWN family. I love them so much, and I know they love me back. But my life hasn’t always been that important to the people that were supposed to care.
Not so long ago, I was living with another family and wanted to be inside with them so much. But they didn’t really want me to be part of it. I was left outside with no shelter, no food, no love, no kindness. What made me even more sad is that there were two other dogs who were allowed inside. I saw them in their warm beds, I heard them getting love and kindness and I smelt the yummy food they got to eat each day.
I sat outside on a cold concrete step, day in, day out, hoping they would notice me. But they didn’t. No one did, until my Guardian Angel, an RSPCA Inspector, arrived and took me into their care. I was really skinny and had pressure sores from sitting for so long on the concrete step. I am so grateful to them for helping me get better.
This Christmas, please become a Guardian Angel for an animal just like me who deserves a second chance at finding a loving home.
Hi, I’m Alfie! One day when I was only ten weeks old I was taken to a place called the RSPCA with all of my brothers and sisters and left there with lots of other animals just like us.
A kind lady came and gave us a bath, something yummy to eat and a warm comfy bed to sleep in. And sleep we did! Pretty soon my siblings and I were placed into foster care with a lovely family who looked after us until we were old enough to go up for adoption.
My brothers and sisters have all been adopted but ten months later, for some reason, I am still here… waiting for someone to walk past me and take me home.
Every day the people here give me lots of love and cuddles, but all I want for Christmas is a Guardian Angel who will come and take me to my new forever home.
My birthday was a really scary day for me and my 12 sisters. You see, our home was a puppy farm
and our mum Molly struggled for two days trying to give birth to us.
One of my sisters got stuck on the way out and things got pretty serious.
Thankfully an Inspector from the RSPCA rushed us to a vet, but sadly it was just too much for
our poor mum. Even though everyone worked so hard to save her, she didn’t make it.
They call us the Kalgoorlie 13. We really miss our Mum, but I think she would be happy we are
looked after so well by our new RSPCA friends. They give us lots of cuddles and treats and we
play all the time. I even heard the attendants say that very soon when we’re old enough,
they’ll start looking for forever homes for us.
For now, I’m just so grateful we have somewhere safe to live this Christmas.
Please be a Guardian Angel this Christmas and help care for animals just like me.
Lots of puppy love from me and my sisters – Matilda, Mystica, Maddy, Moo Moo, Munroe, Mavis,
Millie, Minx, Mookie, Madonna, Monika, Margot, Maude
